5 Amazing Stars!
Growing up on the outskirts of Las Vegas as the daughter of notorious strip club owner, Stephen Knox, and a mother who abandoned her at birth, life was less than kind to a young Antoinette.

After a failed teenage suicide attempt, Toni hit the road in search of a life free of undeserved cruelty and any resemblance to her past.

Years later, Toni finds herself in a dead end marriage and makes a painful confession that sends her back to the one place she always wanted to escape. But can she really right the wrongs that haunt her? Toni soon finds that the only place where things stay the same is in your mind.

When her path crosses with David Stark, childhood playmate turned one night stand, she cannot deny the spike in temperature she feels every time he's near or the scorching dreams that flood her at night.

Digging through the years of heartache, Toni soon finds herself torn between the man she is committed to and the one who has always held her heart. As each layer unfolds before her, she discovers the root cause of her pain. Always believing the source was external, nothing could prepare her for the truth.

Momma's Review:

Talk about being blindsided by a book!  This is another book that I chose to read without reading the synopsis and holy shit was I knocked on my ass by this one!  The first chapter had me in tears and my head spinning.  I've been vocal in the past about experiences that I had with bullying while growing up and the way that Toni's story was written hit so close to home that it made me reach out and thank J.L. Brooks for writing it.
Toni was such an amazingly complex character that I immediately fell in love with her.  She's strong, independent and a total spit fire, the problem is that she's been hiding her true self.  As you watch her rediscover herself you can't help but root for her the entire time.  And while there were a few times in the book I wanted to smack her with my kindle I still loved her! Then add in David Stark, a sweet, dark, playful, romantic, teasing, sexy beast!  The angst in this book was one of the parts that I liked the most.  No one jumped straight into bed and because of that you find yourself holding your breath for the next move.
The other thing was the fact that religion was used so freely in this book.  I'm Catholic, I've confessed this to you all before.  I've also been vocal about the fact that I HATE when authors use any form of religion in a book as a negative.  It totally turns me off.  And at the same time I hate when authors use it for no reason, like it's just another plot point.  But I was so extremely happy while reading this book.  While the religious beliefs of the main heroine are openly discussed in the book at no time does it feel like the main focal point, the way it's written makes it just so an everyday thing.  That my friends is hard to do!
Rotten by J. L. Brooks is so incredibly well written.  When I write a review I sit down and talk with myself about all the pros and cons, the characters, the plot points and the pace of the story.  I couldn't find a single flaw!  J.L. Brooks has easily jumped on my list of must read authors and I can't wait for her next project!

Momma's Recommendation:

Anyone that has seen my Facebook page in the last week can tell how in love I am with this book!  To say that I highly recommend this book is a complete understatement.  It's easily made my must read list of 2013 and maybe of all time!

5 I want my own Cain Stars!
Momma's Review:
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Ok, so I'm not sure where to even start with Four Seconds To Lose by K.A. Tucker.  I loved Ten Tiny Breaths, the first in this series.  It was easily my most recommend book of the year.  And then One Tiny Lie came out and I really, really liked it.  But then, holy crap, I got Four Seconds To Lose and I LOVED IT.  Not just loved it, like fell head over heels in love with it!
Four Seconds To Lose is about Cain, the owner of Penny's from 10 Tiny Breaths, and Charlie, a mysterious 20 something who is looking for a job so she can get away from a crazy life that she doesn't want.  The story is amazing, from the somewhat immediate attraction to the angst filled flirting.  And I don't know how K.A. Tucker does it but she is damn good at writing from a mans POV.  And not just any kind of man, a strong, caring, sexy, Alpha male who will make you swoon!
I had this book sent to me a bit ago and finally got a chance to read it yesterday and I could not put it down.  I read it while the kids played, while my husband was driving to the pumpkin patch, in the bathroom.  I just had to keep reading....and once everyone was finally in bed I stayed up to almost 4am just to finish it.  The thing I loved most about this book, and the others in the series, was how it made me feel.  There were certain parts that had me holding my breath, had my heart beating overtime and chewing my nails just wondering how it was all going to play out.
I truly think that Four Seconds To Lose was one of the best books I've read, not only by K.A. Tucker, but so far this year!  It's easily going to take a spot in my most recommended books and may just beat out Ten Tiny Breaths!

Momma's Recommendation:
Saying that I highly recommend this book would be an understatement.  If you like a hot, brooding hero and a strong but sweet heroine this in your book.  Throw in the twists and turns that K.A. Tucker is so great and you will not be disappointed!  While this is the third book in a series, all three could be considered stand alone.  The characters cross each book and there is history but it is well explained in each book.  That said I really suggest all 3 books...they are all GREAT!

A few months ago I got a review request for a book called Conquer Your Love by J.C. Reed.  She was a brand new author and I thought it sounded interesting so I took a chance.  Holy crap was I glad I did.  I instantly fell in love with the first book and started begging for the second!  Then Surrender Your Love came out and I wanted the third book so badly.  I think I may have emailed her more than a few times so she wouldn't forget about me because I was in LOVE with the series!
And it's finally time for the third book, Treasure Your Love!  The 2nd book had a pretty good cliffy so I was desperate to get a chance to start this book.  When I finally got a chance to sit down and read it I couldn't put it down.  I read it from cover to cover in one sitting and wasn't disappointed!  The final book took on a harder, more edgy tone and kept me in suspense the entire time!  It has suspense, romance and HOT scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat until the final chapter.  And the best part is that you never saw the ending coming!  It's like a great "who done it" with a sexy twist!
Momma's Recommendation:
I can easily recommend this book, and the entire series, to all lovers of hot romance!  If you like hot Alpha Males, strong heroines and a great story then this is for you!

Special Excerpt from The Edge of Always by J.A. Redmerski and Giveaway!

I got a chance to read The Edge of Always last week and let me tell you it is AMAZING!  And I now get a chance to share a special excerpt of the book with you girls!  Without further ado.....enjoy!

“Get up, birthday girl,” Andrew announces from somewhere near the foot of the bed. I hear him slap the tabletop by the window with the palm of his hand repeatedly.

I roll over onto my side, putting my back toward the bright sun and then burrow underneath the sheets. A gust of cold air hits me when Andrew snatches the sheets off me.

“Oh come on!” I moan, drawing my knees toward my chest and pulling the pillow over my head. “I should be able to sleep in on my birthday.”

Suddenly my body is being dragged off the bed and my arms come up wildly, trying to hold on to the edge of the mattress. Andrew’s hand is wrapped firmly around my ankle. I kick and flail, trying to get away, but he drags me across the bed so fast and without much effort that I just give up. My butt hits the floor and the sheets tumble down and around me.

“You are such an ass!” I laugh.

“But you love me. Now get up.”

With my hair all tangled around my head, I look up at him and pout. He smiles at me and reaches out his hand. I take it, and he pulls me into a stand.

“Happy birthday, babe,” he says and pecks me on the lips.

4 sexy marine stars!

Sometimes rules must be broken. Sometimes your beliefs are challenged. Other times... you just have to follow your heart.
For Marine Corps Sgt. Alex Cruz, the Corps' rules and regulations have served as a blueprint for how he should live his life. In his mind, the way to maintaining proper conduct and order relied heavily on the ability of the individual to follow orders without question. Alex was that individual.
Until...Pfc. Cassie Bennett.
She is brand new to the Corps, looking to cement a place in the world for herself after breaking free from the oppressive life she's lived with her mother. Making it in the Corps is her way of showing her mother that she is more than she thinks she is, while also proving to herself she can survive one of life's biggest challenges.
Both Alex and Cassie are tested when an intensely strong attraction develops between them. They feel it, they want it, but one thing stands in their way... The Marine Corps order on Fraternizing. Their lust filled thoughts, their strong and aching cravings for one another, and their conflicted minds lead them on a roller coaster of emotions and feelings that neither can ignore, no matter how hard they try.
Loyalties will be tested, hearts will be broken, and careers will hang in the balance. Can Alex and Cassie keep their forbidden relationship a secret, or will they lose it all by Fraternizing?

 Momma's Review:

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

Can I just start by saying how proud I am of C.C. Brown!  Just a short 10 months ago I read and reviewed her very first book and each time she writes something new they just get better and better!  Fraternizing by C.C. Brown is by far her best book yet!  The plot is great, the story flows easily and it's one of those books that has you swooning and holding your breath right along with the characters.

Once upon a time I may or may not have been a Camp Pendelton groupie.....ok well I wouldn't say groupie but I was a fan of Marines ;) I may have been a fan of big burly men who happened to be the bouncers who worked at my favorite club who all happened to be Marines ;)  Either way I am a SUCKER for a man in uniform...very specifically a man in any kind of Marine uniform.  So this story was right up my alley!  Each time C.C. Brown described what the characters were wearing I could see it in my head in Technicolor!

The story of Alex and Cassie is sweet, romantic, frustrating and sexy.  All the sneaking around and waiting for the other shoe to drop gave my heart a serious workout.  And the fact that I literally couldn't stop reading made it an easy 4 star book.  I started reading it around midnight and stayed with it until I fell asleep with my reader in my hands, then picked it up as soon as I had coffee the next morning.  Even my husband could tell it was good because he had to make dinner!

The sex scenes were HOT and the banter between the two characters was easy but I did feel like the book was a bit too long.  I found myself racing to the finish by skimming some scenes just to see what was finally going to happen.  And of course I forgot to look up whether it was a cliffy or not so when it ended as one I was a tiny bit confused!

Momma's Recommendation:

I highly recommend this book to all lovers of romance and hot, steamy scenes!   It is a cliffy and the second book hasn't had a release date announced but this author works pretty quick and I don't see it being too long for the next book!

About the Author

Just a book reading, writing loving, mommy and USMC wife! :)
I love to write, even if it isn't what is conventional and makes everyone feel giddy inside. I usually pull from dreams, or ideas that just thrust themselves into my head. I have what some would describe as a dry sense of humor, and I think its conveyed in my writing. I like to think I am a kick ass chick, but I can also be sensitive. I'm learning to grow thick skin, and in this field, it is definitely needed!
I won't put anything out that I am not absolutely proud of, but like E.L. James said, "I can't own people's reactions to it." Thanks for reading my work... I do appreciate it!

Bold Tricks by Karina Halle

Available Today!!!  October 15th!
Momma's Rating:
5 Perfect Ending Stars!
Momma's Review:
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Holy Shit....where do I even start with this book or this series as a whole.  The artists trilogy has easily taken a top spot on my list of favorites for this year, may even of all time!  And Bold Tricks by Karina Halle was absolutely perfect, even after waiting a bit to write the review and chatting with others who had read it, I couldn't find a single flaw in the entire book.  The timing of everything was perfect, the story flowed perfectly and the ending was AMAZING!  This book gave it all, I laughed, I panicked, I cried and I stayed up way too late just because I had to finish.  I wouldn't have changed a single thing.
And now that I've finished I am completely broken, I need more Ellie and Camden and even more Javier!  I'm going to miss these characters more than most others.   But the best part about this final installment of the series was I wasn't left wanting anything.  Every story had ended, every loose end was tied up.  I have read way too many series enders this month and sadly a few left me with unanswered questions but Bold Tricks didn't.  It wrapped everything up in a pretty little tattooed bow!
Check out my reviews of Sins & Needles and Shooting Scars
Momma's Recommendation:
How do I say this nicely....ummmm if you don't read this series we can't be friends.  Did that Ok, how about you have to read this series, like have to, have to, have to read this series!  The artists trilogy is a great romance story, with some angst and suspense thrown in.  And now that the series is complete you can devour them back to back!

4.5 Hot for Javier....No Camden...Well Maybe Javier stars!
Momma's Review
*Disclaimer: I received a copy of this ebook in return for an honest review*
Shooting Scars by Karina Halle was easily one of my most anticipated releases of the summer!  When I finished Sins & Needles I immediately started stalking her and anyone else with info about the second in the series and was so excited when I finally got it!  Especially after that gut wrenching cliffhanger!
Shooting Scars is told from multiple points of view which was a surprise after both Sins & Needles and On Every Street being told strictly from Ellie's point of you.  But thankfully it was a nice change of pace and it was fun to see things from Camden's point of view.  Truthfully there would have been no way to pull off the story without seeing it through his eyes.
The book was more suspenseful than the first and constantly left you feeling like you just couldn't stop reading because you had to find out what was going to happen.  And then as the story unravels you really can't stop because there are so many possibilities of what could happen.  One of the best parts was the two strong males.  I constantly felt myself flipping back and forth between which one I liked more and had a hard time choosing sides........but I'm a tattooed girl all the way so I'm totally Team Camden!!!!!
After another amazing cliffhanger I am DESPERATE to get the final book in this series, releasing October 15th!

Review: Carter Reed by Tijan

Momma's Rating:

4.5 Holy Carter Reed Stars!
Momma's Review:
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Holy WOW!  That's really the only way to describe Carter Reed by Tijan.  I was completely blindsided by Carter, because as always I went into this story completely blind.  Carter Reed by Tijan has suspense, romance, hot sex and just a bit of angst, it's the perfect combination to keep you glued to your reader for hours.  At one point I stayed up well past 3am and only stopped because I literally passed out and woke up with my face smashed in my iPad!
The story between Emma and Carter is interesting and progresses very quickly.  They have known each other since they were both very young and when Emma gets into serious trouble she turns to the only person she can trust, Carter Reed.  My only wish for this book was that we saw more of the relationship between Emma and Carter when they were young.  I think it would have helped build the characters current relationship and would have made the story just that much more believable.  There are flashbacks, but I felt like the relationship was a tad rushed because you didn't "feel" the previous relationship.  That's the only reason this book didn't get a full 5 stars.  Aside from that point it is a well written story and in a sea of romance novels with billionaire boyfriends it's a great spin on a classic story.  Not to mention the steam between the two about HOT!
Momma's Recommendation:
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance with a bit of suspense.  I definitely wouldn't classify it as a dark romance.  It has just enough of a thrill to it to keep you reading!

"It was you that time before," I gasped as Carter's lips brushed against my neck. He lingered on my pulse. His tongue swept against it as I tried to turn around to him. I needed to feel him against me, between my legs, but his arms tightened around me. He moved behind me and pressed into me.

He murmured against my skin, "It was me."

I clasped a hand over his on the other side of my neck and held it there, claiming him, as I turned in his arms. His hand slid across the front of me and I saw him. His eyes were dark with lust and need. I knew he saw the same in me, but I didn't care any longer. I needed him, but I remembered that night. My roommate left and I'd been alone until I felt someone behind me. The liquor in me hadn't been enough to turn off all my inhibitions, but they had helped. My skin sizzled as I thought of that night again, how it had been him behind me.

He whispered against my skin as he lowered his head, "I was in the security room. I saw you on the cameras and couldn't help myself." His arms slid around to my back. He pressed a hand to my hip and anchored me against him.

I gasped as he pressed his hips into me, but then he lifted and carried me to the corner.

It was the same as that night.

He held me suspended in the air, so I wound my legs around his waist. I felt him even more against me and then his hands slid under the edge of my dress, to the inside of my thighs. He felt the string of my thong, in the apex between my legs, and started to rub against it.

Desire and pleasure rushed through me. I was feverish for him. I held on, urging him to do more. My hips began to move in rhythm with his hand and it wasn't long before he swept my dress up and his hand was against my skin.

"Carter," I whispered, my back and throat arched for him.

He placed a kiss there, licking.

Review: Convicted by Aleatha Romig & Blog Tour

Available Oct 8th (links to follow)
Momma's Rating:
Six I Think I've Fallen In Love With Tony Stars!!!
Momma's Review:
At Momma Romance a six star review is something that is only given when a book is so good that I'm left with a hangover for days!  After receiving an Advanced ARC of Convicted by Aleatha Romig I had the worst book hangover I've ever experienced since I started reading.  For days I was left feeling like I just couldn't start another book, to the point where I actually took up reading only smutty short stories just to clear it from my head!
Fans of the series will understand when I say that it was probably the best mind fuck I've ever had!  Convicted is the third book in Tony & Claire's story and easily the best out of the three.  Aleatha Romig outdid herself with this amazing conclusion to an amazing series!
I hesitated for 3 days to actually start this book.  At first I thought I was afraid to jump back in to the insanity that is Tony & Claire but in the end I was just afraid to have the series end.  I had become so emotionally involved in the lives of the characters that I was to afraid to never read about them again.  But in the end I am so glad that I finally put on my big girl panties and jumped in!  The book starts off hard and fast.  From the first page your emotions are jerked around and I was panicking by the end of the first chapter.  And, just like in the first two books, It was a roller coaster the entire way through!
Momma's Recommendation:
Saying that I highly recommend this series would be understatement!  It is easily one of my most recommended series of 2013.  Just be prepared that this is a dark, suspenseful book that will leave you questioning what romance really means.

Character Interviews:
**Caution...these Character interviews contain spoilers, if you have NOT read Consequences and Truth**
A Series of Interviews in response to my 2011 Article about Anthony and Claire Rawlings which appeared in Vanity Fair
By: Anne Robinson
I met with Anthony and Claire Rawlings in their home for a Vanity Fair interview in February of 2011. On that cool February morning, I met with who appeared to be a loving newlywed couple.
Flash it’s October of 2013, and the world is discovering that all was not as it appeared. My Life As It Didn’t Appear by Meredith Banks, (which was originally scheduled to be released by Parrott Publishing on October 1 but has been delayed again due to legal battles) will eventually hit the market. The release is imminent and the snippet alone has revealed a peek into the depth of misinformation in my original interview!
My goal with these interviews is to attempt to set the record straight.
This time I’m not working with Mr. Rawlings or Ms. Nichols. Why? Because they are both missing!
Ms. Nichols was last seen September 4, and Mr. Rawlingswas reportedly in a plane that made an emergency landing on September 21. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is more involved than a soap opera.  Over the next few days, I will be releasing my “unauthorized” interviews with friends, family, and employees of these two individuals and hopefully settingthe record straight.
Please join me in learning the real story...what were these two individuals hiding from me AND from you in 2011?
Day 1:
Today we planned to speak with Catherine London and Eric Hensley. They are both longtime trusted employees of Anthony Rawlings.  As personal employees, they alsoworked for Claire Nichols, while she and Anthony were married. They would undoubtedly be able to give us insight into the real life of Claire and Anthony.
Unfortunately, our efforts were met with a resounding “no.”  Apparently, all of the people employed by Mr. Rawlings’ estate have signed strict “Do Not Disclose” clauses. The only information we could gather was the confirmation of the last date Mr. Rawlings was on the estate, September 20.
Instead, we proceeded with our interview of Emily Vandersol, sister of Claire Nichols. Mrs. Vandersol was very anxious to speak with us. She has been very busy speaking with each and every news outlet that will listen.
Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Emily Vandersol.
Emily, may I call you that.
Yes, please.
Emily, you are visibly distraught over your sister’s disappearance. Can you please tell us about the last time you saw her.
I saw Claire about a month ago. She came to visit my husband and me in Indiana.
Did she come alone?
She was with a body guard. That was what she said, but my husband and I knew the truth.
Mr. Rawlings didn’t come with her?
No! We aren’t, I mean weren’t exactly on speaking terms with him.
Isn’t it true that someone hurt her in California?
Yes, and that’s why she said she had a body guard. I believe it was because Anthony Rawlings didn’t trust her. The man is incredibly controlling; I’m sure this “body guard” was the only way Claire was allowed to visit us—her own, and only, family!
So, you don’t believe this man was hired for her protection.
I believe he was a spy, reporting every move that Claire made.
Why do you think that?
It was how he treated her when they were married. Well, kind of.
What do you mean, kind of?
When they were married, Claire never would have been allowed to travel to Indiana alone, or with a body guard.
You keep using the world “allow.” Do you believe that Mr. Rawlings truly had that kind of control?
I do!
Emily, have you seen what’s in the book that’s about to be released?
I haven’t seen Meredith Bank’s words, but I know, what’s in the book. I know, because my sister told me. It’s all true.
If it truly contains some of the maltreatment that I’ve heard, why would Claire go back to Anthony Rawlings? Why would she move back in with him?
I don’t know. I can’t explain it. Sometimes I think she isn’t thinking clearly.
Did you ever witness the things Claire told you about?
No. Whenever we were all together they both put on a perfect performance; however, things always seemed odd, like there was more. My husband even tried to question her about it before the wedding. Claire became upset by his questions and asked me to ask him to be nice. For Claire, we were.
Do you believe Mr. Rawlings was involved in your sister’s disappearance?
Without a doubt! I know he was. Before she decided to move back here, she told me specifically that he “took” her, “kidnapped” her, the first time, and she was afraid he may do it again. I promised her that I would have the police knock down his door if she ever disappeared again. I did. As soon as I hung up the phone from Anthony, I called the Iowa City police. They did nothing! Oh, they went to his house and asked a few questions, but you know how it is with people with money—multiply that bya billion! No one would touch him; he owns that whole town, probably the state and country! Now, he’s missing, too. I just know it’s related. I keep praying that shes safe, but I fear she isn’t. I’m afraid that she finally realized what a mistake it was to go back to him, and he lost it. I have begged for the police to take dogs out to that estate and sniff around. What if my sister is buried out there somewhere? What if we never know?
Mrs. Vandersol ended the interview by asking us to publish the information for the missing person’s hotline. There is also a reward set up by Anthony Rawlings for information leading to Claire’s safe return.  If you have any information please contact the numbers below.
Continuation of Personal Interviews by Anne Robinson-
Day 2:
Good afternoon Ms. McCoy, thank you for talking with us. May we call you Amber?
Yes, please. I’m happy to do anything I can to help find Claire.
Can you first tell our readers how you came to know Claire Nichols?
I met Claire for the first time at my fiancĂ©’s funeral.
That seems like an unlikely place to meet someone who would later come to live with you.
Yes, I suppose it does.
Isn’t it true that after Claire’s unexpected release from prison, she came to live with you in Palo Alto?
That’s right. She didn’t have anywhere to go, and she was trying to get away from Mr. Rawlings.
“Get away from”? Does this have anything to do with the information in the book, My Life As It Didn’t Appear?
It does; however, I never forced the issue with her, and she never told me all about it. I just got the feeling that she was deathly afraid—well at first.
Can you explain?
When she was first released from prison, she seemed truly frightened of him. I remember the first time he called her. He’d hired a private detective to find her—creepy, right? And once he found her, he called. Claire went pale as a ghost while she was on that call. My brother and I were afraid she would pass out!
Did she willingly move back to Iowa?
I think so. I know that it doesn’t make any sense. But, over time he worked his way back into her life. At first she rebuked all his attempts—she threw away flowers and sent back gifts; then, something changed.
Oh, I remember. It was after she said he blackmailed her.
What? Did you just say he blackmailed her?
Yes, at least that was what she told us. She said that he arranged for something to happen at SiJo Gaming that caused my brother to miss going with her to an annual charity gala. Once she was there, according to her, he promised that nothing would happen to my company, only if she agreed to pretend they were reconciling.
Did you believe her?
I didn’t have reason not to. Admittedly, it was pretty farfetched. Besides the problem that occurred at SiJo was fixed and determined to be just some kind of computer glitch. Maybe she was just making it up to lie to my brother. They were kind of dating at the time.
Do you think she would lie? Could the things in the book be a lie, too?
Oh, I didn’t mean that. No, I don’t think so. I mean, she was really scared when she first got here. But seriously, if it is all true, who in their right mind would go back with him? I mean, she even believed Mr. Rawlings was responsible for other crimes. I don’t think she was thinking straight...unless, she did it to protect SiJo, or she thought she was. I really don’t know.
Where do you think she is today?
I don’t know. I know neither my brother nor I have heard from her. Harrison received a call from Mr. Rawlings when she first went missing. The only other news that we’ve received was from the news outlets, just like everyone else. I hope she’s all right. It is weird that Mr. Rawlings is also missing. None of it makes sense.
Thank you Ms. McCoy.

Day 3:
In an attempt to get the most accurate information, I interviewed Amber McCoy and her brother Harrison Baldwin separately.
Here is my discussion with Mr. Baldwin. (Let me add, I’m damn glad I didn’t do this interview over the phone! Those were some of the prettiest blue eyes I think I’ve ever seen!)
Thank you for talking with us, Mr. Baldwin
Please, I’m Harry, and I’m happy to do anything to help find Claire.
Harry, please tell us about your relationship with Claire Nichols.
I met Claire when she came to live with my sister. We became friends. I haven’t spoken with her since she moved back to Iowa.
I’d love to clarify a few of your comments...can you define “friends”? I believe I’ve seen more than one picture of the two of you together while she lived in California. I think I even read that the two of you were living together?
Claire lived with my sister Amber. We all live in the same condominium building; however, we never lived together in the same unit.
There was a time when Claire couldn’t walk to the curb without someone taking her picture. Yes, we ate at local restaurants and were often photographed.  She was a fun person to be around, and we enjoyed one another’s company—friends.
And yet, as friends, you haven’t spoken in months?
My number hasn’t changed.
All right—enough said. Let’s discuss her past. Are you familiar with the book that is about to be published.
I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard about it.
Do you believe the information is true?
Since I haven’t seen it, I’m not sure. I know that her first marriage had issues.
“Issues”? Do you believe that Anthony Rawlings was abusive?
I only know what I’ve been told. With that information, I worry about Claire now. I’m concerned for her safety.
Ms. Nichol’s family seems to believe that Mr. Rawlings’ disappearance is connected to Claire’s. Do you agree?
I don’t want to believe that Claire would take off and scare her family after all they’ve been through. So, if she didn’t leave of her own free will, then I believe foul-play could be involved. It does seem suspicious that he too is missing.
How did Claire end up hospitalized before she moved back to Iowa?
She was attacked by a man. Security saved her before she was too badly hurt.
I believe I read that you were the hero who saved her.
I got to her only seconds before security. It was the guard who shot and killed the perpetrator.
Ms. Vandersol mentioned that Claire was pregnant. Do you know if that’s true?
I would assume that if anyone would know the truth about that, it would be Claire’s sister.
So, you’re confirming that she’s pregnant.
I’m confirming that she is missing and we need to do anything possible to assure that shes safe. If what Emily says is also true, then we should all be more concerned, not just for Claire, but for her child.
Do you truly believe that Mr. Rawlings would harm his child?
I’m not sure what Mr. Rawlings is capable of doing. Thank you for keeping Claire in the spotlight. I must be going.
One last question, Harrison, are you seeing anyone new?
New? No, I’m not.
Thank you. (I almost asked him if he wanted to see anyone, and then I remembered I’m married!)

Day 4:
**Mrs. Weston contacted me when she read that I was doing this series of interviews. She asked to be interviewed, claiming “inside” information regarding the Rawlings’ inner circle of friends.
Hello Mrs. Weston, thank you for contacting me.
You are so welcome. As a member of the inner circle of Rawlings friends, I’d do anything possible to find Claire and Tony. I just think it’s the right thing to do.
Can you please tell us how and when you met Ms. Nichols or Mr. Rawlings?
We all met on Labor Day, 2010, in Iowa, at a barbeque.
In Iowa? I thought you lived in California.
Yes, I do. My husband works with Eli Summer, you know, the director/producer. Well, we were with them when we all went to this barbeque. It was before anyone knew much at all about Claire Nichols. I mean, before Tony started dating her, she really was a nobody.
I’ve heard what they say is in that book. I don’t believe a word of it. And I never understood Tony’s fascination with her. I mean seriously, none of us—you know, close friends—understood it. He had/has so much going for him. Likeseriously, a man like him would need to kidnap a woman. Let me tell you, she sure didn’t look kidnapped back in 2010! I mean, she was dressed in all the best and hung on his arm like she was afraid to step away.
Not like scared of him. No, like she didn’t want to give him a chance to forget about the young hot woman throwing herself at him! It worked, too. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. Well, and as you know, they were married by the end of the year.
As such “good friends” you were probably at their wedding. Was it as beautiful as everyone said?
Oh, well, we would have been there, but Chance, my husband, yeah, he couldn’t get away.
So, you don’t believe the information in the book.
Well, I haven’t read it, since it’s not out yet, but no. I also think she really did try to kill him. I think it all makes perfect sense. If you would have seen the way he was head over heels in love with her and the way she was enjoying all his money had to offer. I mean we were together at a party at Eli’s house in Malibu. Yes, with my husband’s line of work we are often with the cream of society. So, anyway, when we were at Eli Summer’s party,I heard shed gone to Rodeo Drive that day to buy a new dress for the party!
She didn’t wander far from him at that party either. In my opinion, there was just too much competition with all the actresses and models there. Maybe he decided he didn’t want such a clingy wife—after he got to know her. She obviously pushed him into marrying her real fast! Maybe he was tired of the married thing. I bet that’s why she tried to kill him.
You remember—she admitted to it.
Actually, Mrs. Weston, Claire Nichols pleaded “no contest.” That isn’t an admission of guilt.
Well, it might has well been. The whole country knew she was guilty.
Even Mr. Rawlings made a public statement saying that he didn’t believe she was guilty.
I’m guessing she bribed him somehow. Like maybe with the lies that are in that book. You know, try to make him look bad. They’re saying on the news that the book can be published because of some agreement between the two of them and because she’s missing. She probably set the whole thing up. I bet she’s sitting on some island enjoying his money and laughing at all the trouble she’s stirred up!
All right, thank you for speaking, SO candidly, with us today.

Day 5:
Courtney Simmons agreed to a brief telephone interview. She lives in Iowa City, near the Rawlings estate, and is admittedly a good friend of both Claire and Anthony.
Thank you for speaking to us today.
I’m concerned about my friend. If this will help find her, I’m willing to talk.
Why are you concerned?
Because she’s missing.
Do you feel that Anthony Rawlings could be responsible for her disappearance?
I do not. Right after Claire’s disappearance, my husband and I spent a lot of time with Anthony. He was inconsolably distraught. You may have noticed, he’s also promised a large reward to information leading to Claire’s safe return.
Mrs. Simmons, you spent a great deal of time with Claire before, during, and after she was married to Anthony Rawlings, isn’t that true?
I did.
What is your opinion regarding the impending publication of Meredith Bank’s book, My Life As It Didn’t Appear?
I think it is a travesty. I know, from Claire, that she did not want the book published. She even went directly to the author and asked that publication be stopped.
Why do you believe she wanted publication stopped?
Claire was, I mean is, not comfortable with all of the attention that surrounds Anthony. She didn’t want it or like it. The press has not been kind to her.
I noticed that you didn’t say that she wanted it stopped because the information was false.
I haven’t read the book. I don’t know if it’s false or merely embellished. From the media ruckus that’s going on, you’d think there was no other news occurring. I wish they would spend more time looking for Claire than gossiping about her.  That is why I agreed to this interview.
For the record, Claire Nichols is a beautiful, kind, loving person. She needs to be found and brought home safe. She does not need you, Meredith Banks, or anyone else’s disparaging remarks that are tarnishing her reputation.
Isn’t it true that your husband is employed by Rawlings Industries?
It is.
So, wouldn’t it also be true that if you were to confirm the information in Meredith’s book that your husband’s job may be at risk?
Ms. Robinson, I am speaking to you to help my friend. Do NOT turn it around to mean anything more! Good day.
Thank you.

Day 6:
It is a great honor to have the opportunity to speak one on one with Meredith Banks, the author of the soon to be released My Life As It Didn’t Appear –Memoir of Mrs. Anthony Rawlings.
Meredith, this must be a very busy time for you.
It has been wild.
Well, everyone is talking about your book! And I must admit, I feel duped!
I’m sorry?
Your book sounds like it will null-in-void my exclusive article from 2011.
If it makes you feel any better, your article is mentioned in my book.
Hmmm, yes, I guess that does make me feel a little better. Hasn’t your career been primarily in journalism?
So, what made you decide to write a book?
Originally, when Claire and I began talking about her story, we planned on an article. Then it was a series of articles. Once I realized the magnitude of her information and the depth of her story, a book made more sense.
I believe I read that you received a handsome advance. Are you at all concerned that the book may be caught in legal battles for so long that no one will care to read it?
I would actually like to return my advance and stop publication.
Claire entrusted me with her story for one reason—we’re friends. She came to me about a month ago and asked me to bury the book forever. I would like that to happen.
I don’t think the world wants you to do that. People are very excited about what you have to say.
Before we began discussing her past, we made a legally binding agreement. In that agreement, it specifically states that if anything were to happen to Claire or others, whom she listed, the book will go into publication. Since she has disappeared, that clause has been brought to light. Parrott Publishing is ready to release, as soon as the courts put a stop to the Rawlings attorneys’ grandstanding.
Do you believe in the accuracy of your work?
I do.
Could it be possible that Claire Nichols was lying to you? Perhaps to get back at her rich ex-husband who left her penniless?
It could be possible; however, I feel unlikely. Claire was eloquent and brave as she relayed the history of her past relationship with Mr. Rawlings. I don’t believe she could be that good of a liar.
What do you want to accomplish with this kind of a tell-all book?
Like I said, I’d like to stop its publication. That doesn’t seem to be possible; therefore, I hope to accomplish bringing the attention of the world on my friend who’s now missing. I hope that as the world reads about her difficult past, they help to bring her home.
Do you believe after all that she told you, that she wanted to be back in Iowa with Mr. Rawlings?
I do. When she came to see me last month, Claire was the happiest I’ve ever seen her. Despite their past, they’d reached a new level of togetherness.
I don’t mean to be argumentative, but could it have all been an act? I mean, could this all have been a ruse to trick Mr. Rawlings into allowing her back into his life to then publicly disgrace him—as he’d done to her?
I don’t believe so.
But, it could?
No. I believe every word I wrote and I believe that they had overcome.
And, as long as she is missing, we will never know.
Then, I hope as your readers read this interview, they take the time to say a prayer for Claire’s safe return.
Thank you, Meredith. Good luck with your book.
Ms. Robinson, I’m hoping for no publication. Luck is not what I need.
