4 sweet, sexy stars
Synopsis
Needing
an escape from her past, Avery chooses a college where no one knows her.
Keeping a low profile was the plan, falling for the intense frat boy, Jase
wasn’t. Yet she can’t deny how alive she feels when he’s near. Even as common
sense implores her to stay away, her body begs her to get closer.
Jase, numb from his own family drama, has grown bored with weekends fueled by nameless girls and countless bottles when he meets Avery. Helping her cope with her past is better than dealing with the bullshit his own life’s served up. Determined to drive away the painful secret she’s guarding, he appoints himself her life coach, and challenges her to new experiences. Getting close to her and being the one to make her smile are simply perks of the job.
But when Avery’s past boldly saunters in, refusing to be forgotten, can Jase live with the truth about the girl he’s fallen for?

Momma's Review
*Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
I really liked The Impact of You by Kendall Ryan! It's a sweet story about two college students with some pretty big issues in their pasts. The story of Avery and Jase starts like a classic boy meets girl, girl has past kind of story but it's more than that. Her past is pretty big and not something that many college age girls would have to worry about but at the same time is an issue that is becoming more and more relevant as social media becomes more prevalent in the lives of high school students.
Avery's character was sweet, innocent and shy. I did find a few of the things she did frustrating and would have loved to see her step up and embrace her issues a bit sooner but it played out well. And Jase, well Jase is freaking HOT! Who wouldn't want a Life Coach like him!
I can easily recommend this book to anyone looking for a good romantic read with some sweet, some sexy and a bit of HOT!
Interview with Jase and Avery
I’m so very excited today because
Kendall Ryan was nice enough to let me borrow Avery and Jase from The Impact of
You for a little while! Now I’m going to
try really hard to not throw myself at Jase while he’s here….especially because
I don’t want to get smacked!
Hi guys! Thanks for taking the time to meet with me
today, I know you two are busy with school and I really appreciate it. I really enjoyed your story and was hoping
that you wouldn’t mind answering a few questions for my readers!
So Avery, the first time you saw
Jase your friends were calling him “Pretty Boy,” What was the first thing you
noticed about him?
“His eyelashes. They would bring
any girl to their knees. And his height. And his messy hair. And the way he
stood with such an air of confidence about him. He just had a presence. “
Mmmmmmm, I can see what you mean,
oh sorry….Jase, In a room full of drunken college students what made Avery
stand out?
“She looked sweet, like that
totally wasn’t her scene. And with all the other girls clamoring for attention,
dancing and laughing too loud, it made me want to get to know the mysterious
girl in the room.”
And speaking of a room full of
drunken students, what’s it like trying to be together in a Frat House?
“It’s fine for us, because I have my own room
in the attic. “
Really, the Attic? Sounds fun!
But Jase what in the world would make you want to be Avery’s “life coach,”
Though I should tell you I think it was a great idea!
“Great question, and I have no
fuckin’ clue. I just wanted the chance to be around her, to make her smile, to
hear her laugh, and not gonna lie, I was hoping all that would lead to getting
in her pants. “
Well I was about to say awwww how
sweet but that’s pretty funny too! And back to you Avery, why would you
actually agree to that? I mean besides the
fact that you would get to hang out with a total hottie.
“Well, Jase can be very
persuasive. And I guess I realized he was right. I was sort of hiding, and I
wanted to take a chance.”
Persuasive huh? Sounds intriguing! Jase, If you had to do things over again with
Avery would you have done anything differently?
“Of course. I still regret the
way I reacted when I found out about the skeletons in her closet. I won’t say
too much for the people out that haven’t read our story yet, but basically I
acted like a guy, i.e., idiot. “
Acting like a guy may be an understatement
And Avery, I’m pretty sure I know what you would do differently but why don’t
you share with our readers
“I’m just focused now on living
life with no regrets, so I honestly can’t even say I’d chance anything. The
outcome has been worth it. And who knows, we might have never met, if each of
us hadn’t been dealing with our shitty pasts. “
Well said Avery! I like to try to live by the same ideas. Ok, are you two up for some fun? How about some rapid fire questions but with
a twist! I’m going to ask you a question
and I want you to tell me the first thing that comes to your mind about the
other person.
What is the silliest thing that
the other does.
Avery: Calls me Whistle
Jase: Trying to minimize her
chest by wearing sports bras. Free those beautiful babies.
Do they have a secret talent?
Avery: Making me laugh
hysterically, oh, and he seems to have a hidden talent for embarrassing me too.
Jase: Blowjobs. Seriously. This
girl excels at them.
What is their favorite color?
Avery: His is green, like my
eyes.
Jase: Yep.
What is their most favorite thing
in the whole wide world?
Avery: Oh… tough one. I’m going
to say my boobs.
Jase: The girl is the good. Fact.
Avery’s favorite thing in the world is me.
You guys crack me up! Thank you so much for taking the time to sit
down with me today and good luck with the rest of your classes this year.
