Cover Reveal and special excerpt: Until I Break by M. Leighton

Caution: Fangirling ahead!!

Have you seen this cover for Until I Break by M. Leighton??????

I mean....COME ON!!! and yes I'm using shouty caps!
M.Leighton posted an excerpt on her blog this week that has me litterally begging to have the book released now.

But alas....we have to wait until May 14th!

Synopsis:

Laura Drake is an author.  She writes bestselling paranormal romances that continue to top the charts.  She is sharp.  She is confident.  She is in control.
And she doesn’t exist.
Samantha Jansen is the woman behind the wig, the woman most of the world doesn’t know exists.  She is shy.  She is insecure.  She is nothing like her main character or her alter ego.  She is scarred—deeply scarred—by a past she can’t let go of and a present she can’t make peace with.
Samantha’s dreams are consumed by one man, the broken hero from her books.  Mason Strait is both her wildest fantasy and her most terrifying nightmare.
When Samantha meets Alec Brand, a corporate consultant, it is as though Mason has come to life.  Alec is handsome to a fault, as elegant as he is arrogant, and more intense than any man has a right to be.
Samantha is soon sucked into a world that mirrors the fiction she writes.  Just like her main character, Daire Kirby, Samantha finds herself unable to resist the forbidden lure of Alec.  And just like Daire, she also finds that she is faced with taking a chance on a man who could either set her free or destroy her.
The scale tilts toward destruction when Samantha finds out that Alec is as much a work of fiction as Mason.  And he has scars of his own, scars that could ruin them both.

And now a special little teaser that I begged, borrowed and stole to get ;) or I may have accidently agreed to paint the official street team secret cave!

Holy Hot Tamales!!!!!!  This ones definatly on my TBR, and I'm impatiantley awaitng May 14th.

About the Author:

My Rating:
4 Stars

Overview:

Everyone has their demons, and Chloe and Drake's hit them with a vengence.

Sex, drugs, money, a crazy ex, and Rock n Roll.... Can they survive it all?

Things are beginning to feel a bit... Twisted

My Review:

I was so excited for Twisted to come out and I definitely wasn't disappointed!  Twisted starts right where Torn left off and it only gets better from there.  I could tell almost immediately that twisted was going to be a different book, it seemed to move quicker and felt like it was going to be darker.  And the drama, oh the drama in this book seemed to be everywhere!  I don't want to reveal any spoilers so I won't go into details but at times I found myself having to back up to double check what was going on, at times it was too much drama between characters to keep up. That said I still really enjoyed the book. The thing I really liked is that during the story Chloe stuck to her guns.  When things got tough she didn't turn into a sappy girl and let herself get walked all over or pushed aside.  She has a lot thrown at her this time around and she never turns into the "victim."

This book is a must read for anyone who enjoyed Torn or anyone who enjoys a book with lots of fast paced drama, a strong heroine and HOT boys!

Excerpt:

“Chloe, go back outside,” he ordered.
Never one to listen, I refused and started trying to look around his large frame to see what was wrong. A string of curses left my lips as I saw Danny and Kadi locked in an embrace on the couch. Jordan tried to catch me as I slipped under his arm and into the room, but he wasn’t quick enough. His fingertips brushed my shirt as I stomped over to them and grabbed Kadi by the neck, pulling her away from Danny.

**Disclaimer: This content is unedited and subject to change**

 I awake and slowly blink the sleep out of my eyes. The sun is fading, casting dark shadows in the room. I turn my head to see I’m alone in the bed. Lying on my stomach, staring non-seeing into the room, I remember how exquisitely fucked I was just a few hours ago.
The feel of his hard body over me and his cock moving in and out of me, the sweat dripping off him as we both came. I feel myself get turned on all over again, and he isn’t even here touching me. Then I remember his muted words spoken right before I fell asleep.
 “I want you to know I would have waited another sixteen years to be able to feel that with you again.”
I’m finding it hard to believe that Jacob could rescue me from the prison I’ve put myself in over the years, living the life of someone other than whom I feel I should be. Even if that is my true wish, wishes don’t always come true.
The hotel room door opens and Jacob walks in carrying a couple bottles of water from a vending machine, setting them on a side table. He looks yummy as he walks to the bed with a wide smile on his face. Sitting next to me on the edge of the bed, he bends down and kisses my shoulder and down my naked spine, stopping where the sheet lies just above my ass.
“Hey, sleepyhead.” He murmurs in between those drugging kisses. My legs start to stir beneath the sheet and I’m tempted to take another ride before I have to leave.
“Hi. If you keep doing that, you’re not going to be able to stop me from having my wicked way with you again and I need to leave soon.” I sigh with frustration.
“Maybe that’s exactly what I want.” Running a finger up and down my spine, he stretches out next to me.
“I’m sure it is, but I have stuff to get done before I’m back on the road in a few days. I warned you I didn’t have much time but I would do my best to make this work.”
 “It feels like I just got you back, and now you have to go away again. I’d much rather see your beautiful face, instead of dreaming of it. Will you have time to sneak away again before you fly out?”
“I’m not sure. We’ll have to play it by ear. I don’t know how much I have to give you, Jacob. And I’m not just talking about my time either. I’ve been going down this lonely path for a while now and I’m not sure where it’s left me. Regardless of what we did today, I am still a married woman with commitments and responsibilities.” I hate bringing up this fact, but I need the reminder out there that this isn’t a fairytale. Its real life, and its messy.
He leans over and thoroughly kisses me before murmuring, “I know. And I’ll take whatever I can get with you. It’s better than having none of you.”
With that parting blow, he kisses me one last time, grabs his keys and heads out.
 “Text me later, baby. I’ll be waiting.”
 I sure hope I know what I’m doing, because it feels as though things are going to get extremely complicated.

Blog Hop!!!

Blog Tour: Rules of Entanglement by Gina L. Maxwell

Available now on Amazon and B&N

4 Hot Surfer Stars

*Disclaimer* I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review

I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the Fighting for Love series.  Once I got into the relationship between Vanessa and Jackson I couldn't put the book down!   Until I accidentally let my e-reader die at 2am :(  Then I had a horrible night sleep and jumped right out of bed and read the rest of the book.  The playful sarcastic banter between the two of them makes you want to giggle and smile along with them while the steam makes you want to fan your self!

The Story:
 Rules of Entanglement has a very classic story, Girl steps in to help her bestfriend and goes toe to toe with the Best Friends hot but kind of jerky brother.  The nice part is that it's different enough from other books with the same theme that it stands out as a great read.  I found myself having to push through the first 2 chapters which is why I gave it a 4, but other than that I had absolutely no problems with this book.  The characters are well thought out and written, the interactions are funny and the setting is perfect.  The book is written from both POV's but is done so well that at times you don't notice the transisiton.

The Heroine:

Vanessa MacGregor

V is probably one of my favorite Heroines this year.  She is strong, independent, and doesn't take shit from anyone!  Not even her best friends super hot brother.  But she's still vulnerable and open to change for love...even if she doesn't know it.  V's character was a breath of fresh air from the "normal" heroine we see so often now.  She's slightly broken, scared of commitment and hiding behind her "rules" but she doesn't run from her problems, she literally punches them right in the nose.

The Hero:
Jackson "Jax" Maris

Jackson, oh wow!  I have a soft spot for tattooed guys but make him an Alpha Male MMA fighter with a dominant streak and I am 110% in.  He's hot, he's got a smart ass attitude, and he's so freaking sweet!  But not like blechhhh sweet.  He's that cocky subtle kind of sweet that you almost don't notice he's doing it until you've completely fallen for him.  Oh and sometimes he goes commando......Hello perfect!  He has easily worked his way into my dreams and my top BBF list!

The Steam:
 Gina L. Maxwell sure knows how to write a scene!  Rules of Entanglement isn't cover to cover "erotica" but it's close!.  I counted at least 3 times that I forgot to breathe...though my little peanut gallery may say that it was more times than that!  Be warned, this is NOT a book about BDSM or Domination, but there are definite threads of control in the bedroom!  This is the first book that I've read from Gina L. Maxwell but holy crap can she steam up a book.  I even found myself re-reading the sexy stuff because it was just so good!  I'll be patiently waiting for whatever she decides to put out in the future

The Cover:
 This cover is pretty isn't my fave but being a "brazen" novel it follows the normal cover look for the publisher.  The cover models are hot and  stay very true to the character descriptions of the book.

Recommendation:
This book is a great read for any romance reader but be warned that it is a HOT book.  For fans looking for steamy sex, hot main characters and smile inducing banter this is a must read!

Seriously.....1000 "likers" on Facebook....Really?

So I'm a bit speechless, which is something that doesn't happen often.  If it did I wouldn't feel the need to constantly talk about books, no seriously....I talk about books to anyone who will listen, even perfect strangers.  Which probably explains why I started a blog in the first place.

So many things have happened since I started this little blog in January of this year.  But as I look back I see that I never really introduced me or why I do this crazy blogging thing.  About a year ago I joined a book club and lets face it.....I only did it to get a night off from the kids!  But low and behold I found that I really liked reading.  Then the book club decided to read the Hunger Games series before the first movie came out and I amazed myself by reading all 3 in 3 days.  That was a HUGE accomplishment for the girl who wouldn't read a book in school if it was being held by the captain of the football team.  But then I had my first book hangover and it stuck with me pretty hard.......but then cue Fifty Shades of Grey......well Shit!

So now you know my dirty little secret, I'm a wife and mommy who fell victim to the FSOG phenomena.  I even stood in line once for 9 hours to meet EL James....but at least I have the signed books and a blurry picture to prove it!  Those 3 crazy books introduced me to this crazy romance novel world.  I was like so many other people who though romance novels were all about bodice wearing damsels tied up on pirate ships (mmmm actually sounds kinda fun!) and what did I need those for.  Boy was I wrong.  Then I found M. Leighton and Cash/Nash (I mean really...who saw that one coming), then Sylvia day and Gideon Cross (sighhhhh), and before I knew it I was an Addict.  Spending hours of Goodreads and amazon researching the next great book to read, putting off dishes and laundry and hoping that my husband would understand (at least the increase in nookie helped with that)

But I was so alone, no one in my book club seemed to be addicted like I was.  My friends thought I was crazy when I could rattle of the names, birth dates and eye colors of all my favorite Book Boyfriends.  And my mom, well my poor mom must have thought I was having a nervous breakdown!

So I did what any sane women would do and I started a blog.  I mean who wouldn't, right?!?  But the most amazing part was that I found so many amazing people who were just like me.  And none of us, ok most of us, weren't really crazy.  We just LOVED our books and our BBFs.  And not only were there so many bloggers to lean on there were so many fans!  So many freaking fans!  I thought it was all just for fun.  I mean people didn't really pay attention to what I was writing and saying....right? One day I got a message after BAE that people had been talking about Momma Romance and I thought they were joking!  Cause really, who in Boston would be talking about some crazy book obsessed mom of 2 from Southern California!  But they were....and I cried a little...and may or may not have done a silly little dance and giggle!

So this giveaway is my THANK YOU to all of you.  To the readers who interact with me on a daily basis and goof off with me.  To the girls who love to look at hot shirtless men just as much as I do and don't make fun of me for it!  To the poor people that get sucked into crazy conversations in line with me at the grocery store about what books have the most sexy time in them.  To the husbands who put up with me filling there wives free time with more books.  To the bloggers, oh the bloggers!  Without you crazy ass women making me feel normal I would have given up on blogging before I even started.  You ground me, let me bounce ideas off you and copy some of your brilliant ideas too!  Especially the #HoeTrain girls!  Who listen to me on KIK when I'm having mini melt downs and freak outs about running into Ex Boyfriends in the most awkward places!  And then of course to the Authors, many of whom I can now call my friends.  Who pose for pictures with me at signings and don't mind my total random and usually inappropriate tweets!

So Thank you,  Good Luck....and for the love of all things holy keep freaking reading! a Rafflecopter giveaway

Captive in the Dark by C.J. Roberts

Available now on Amazon & B&N

5 Dark Amazing Stars

Where to start with this book?!? Ok, I totally loved it, and I'm not ashamed to say it....well maybe a little ;) I picked up Captive in the Dark one night while having a one-click problem and knew absolutely nothing about it. I think I'm glad I didn't because I may have been hesitant to start it and missed the awesome sexiness that is Caleb! He's mean, he's hot, he's caring, he's dominant, he's pissed off and in his odd way he's loving. Which is not what I expected from him at all.

I feel like I shouldn't have liked it, like I shouldn't have been rooting for her to stay...seriously! Every part of my female brain should have been screaming RUN, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND NEVER LOOK BACK, but every bone in my body wanted her to stay, to see what he would do next, to see where it would lead! And I wasn't disappointed.

This is the first piece of "dark" erotic literature that I've read and thanks to C.J. Roberts I'm pretty sure I'm hooked! It was well written, well thought out and well executed. I'm just thankful that Seduced in the Dark is already out because I would not be a happy Momma!

If you're into Erotic novels, or even just a bit curious I highly recommend this book!  You will not be disappointed.

My Favorite Quotes:

“I wrapped my arms around him and held on as hard as I could. He was my tormentor and my solace: the creator of the dark and the light within. I didn’t care that he would undoubtedly hurt me at any moment, right now; I just needed somebody to hold me… To tell me these exact words. Its going to be okay. It wasn’t of course, I knew that. But I didn’t care, I needed the lie.”
~~~~~
“You'll always be Kitten to me...Livvie.”
~~~~~
“You're going to pay for that Pet,' he panted. The right side of his face sported an angry red hand print.
I shook out my hand, 'I already have. That was my change.”
~~~~~
“People often believed they were safer in the light, thinking monsters only came out at night. But safety – like light – is a façade.”
Cover Reveal: This Is Forever by S.A. Price
Maybe you have seen this little graphic about?
Did it get you curious? Winter is the very sexy bassist for the band 13 Shades of Red, and his book, THIS IS FOREVER will be releasing December 2013. Wanna see the cover?
Now isn’t that just sexy? From now till December if you check out some of your favorite blogs that are rocking the mini graphic on the side column, we will be giving some teasers, excerpts and interviews about the book, on the 10th of the month.
Believe me; it really is going to be a Long Hard Winter. *wink*
And now… for a sexy sneak peek at THIS IS FOREVER…
Seeing Lola after eight months was a fucking kick in the teeth. She had changed her hair, it was purple with black streaks, and she was wearing one fucker of an outfit. Platform Mary Jane’s, her signature, purple torn fishnet thigh highs with garters that ended in bows with skulls on them, micro mini in black satin with a lace trim. She had tripled up on her belts, her little baby tee molding to her torso like a second skin. It was razor cut in places, showing skin and the purple of her lace bra. Her arms warmers were knitted with little skulls on them. He was pretty sure she wasn’t wearing underwear also, the girl just loved to shock. Dare he think it was for his benefit? He wasn’t sure he even saw her, thinking he was dreaming the perfection before him.
But dreams don’t blow you off… at least his didn’t. His dreams, her especially, blew him. When dreams blew you off, those were called nightmares, and those sucked. Sucked like life was sucking right now. She had walked in with the rest of her band, greeted everyone but him, her gaze lingering a little too long on Colin, Rhys’ little brother, but then moved on as she kissed cheeks and hugged people.
 He had to adjust his groin, discreetly of course, when she and Saffron hugged and snuggled. Apparently over the past several months Saffron and Lola had become quite the BFF, with Lola staying at Saffron’s place in New York when she had to go in for several shoots and meetings with her record company. Rhys had teased him about getting face timed and seeing both of them in little booty shorts and white tank tops… but he didn’t think they were that close.
And worse, he didn’t think seeing her all snuggly with Saffron would illicit the images rolling through his head. Not that Saffron wasn’t hot, but he just didn’t dig his best friend’s girl like that.  He grabbed a tootsie pop and unwrapped it, sticking the thick ball into his mouth. He watched her move from person to person, but never to him.
What. The. Fuck.
When everyone sat down, she sat at the other end, didn’t even bother to look at him. He went through dinner in a blur, his anger getting to him more and more. What the fuck was going on? He was beginning to feel like he was invisible. Maybe it was a nightmare?
When she got up and went to the bathroom, he followed, after exchanging a meaningful look with Rhys.
“So you’re just not going to say anything to me?” he said as he caught her coming out of the bathroom.
She looked at him and then sighed. “I didn’t want a public thing to happen.”
Public thing?
He cocked his head and scowled. “And what the fuck does that mean?”
She looked him up and down. “I don’t know if I’m ready to say hi like I want to.”
Winter rolled his eyes. “So you can wrap yourself around Saffron, eye Colin up like he’s a steak, which by the way he’s not even eighteen yet, eww,” he ticked off on his fingers, “Yet you can’t even just turn and wave at me?”
Lola shook her head. “It’s not what I wanted. And Colin is going to be very popular…”
“You just didn’t wanna talk to me at all?” he asked, thoroughly confused. She was the one that pushed for the tour, and by all accounts she didn’t have issue with their past. It was what gave him hope.
She moved closer and shook her head. “That’s not it.”
“Then what’s it?” he bit out, his hands clenched at his sides. Gods, only she could infuriate him like this. Fuck she smelled good. All honey and warm clover… no one smelled like Lola.
Her voice lowered. “Do you like my outfit Winter?”
He growled. Fuck yes he liked her outfit. Loved. Wanted it crumpled on the floor of his bedroom. Wanted to peel it from her slowly, kissing every inch of skin he exposed.
She reached for him, her fingers tugging him closer by the belt loops of his jeans. “Good. You’re supposed to. You don’t get anything from me Winter Tulane. No greeting, no, little wave, no explanation. Eat your heart out baby.”
She got closer, her lips just against his, a slight almost imperceptible move of the hoop through the middle of his lip and then she was gone, back towards the party, her ass shaking with a sashay that had blood rushing from every place in his body to his cock. Fuck. What the hell was going on?
“Hey Lo,” he called after her. She gave him the finger and kept walking.
Game on. Game fucking on, he thought as he followed her back into the room. Confusion didn’t even convey how he was feeling about what happened, but holy fuck the signals she was throwing off were so convoluted he didn’t know if he should fist pump for getting her so close to him or brood over her words.
Cover Reveal: One Tiny Lie by K.A. Tucker
I am excited to be able to share with you this beautiful cover for One Tiny Lie by K.A. Tucker.  I'm even more excited that we get to see more of Kacey's little sister Livie from Ten Tiny Breaths (see my review here.)
About One Tiny Lie:
Livie has always been the stable one of the two Cleary sisters, handling her parents' tragic death and Kacey's self-destructive phase with strength and maturity. But underneath that exterior is a little girl hanging onto the last words her father ever spoke to her. “Make me proud,” he had said. She promised she would...and she’s done her best over the past seven years with every choice, with every word, with every action.
Livie walks into Princeton with a solid plan, and she’s dead set on delivering on it: Rock her classes, set herself up for medical school, and meet a good, respectable guy that she’s going to someday marry. What isn’t part of her plan are Jell-O shots, a lovable, party animal roommate she can’t say ‘no’ to, and Ashton, the gorgeous captain of the men’s rowing team. Definitely him. He’s an arrogant ass who makes Livie’s usually non-existent temper flare and everything she doesn’t want in a guy. Worse, he’s best friends and roommates with Connor, who happens to fits Livie’s criteria perfectly. So why does she keep thinking about Ashton?
As Livie finds herself facing mediocre grades, career aspirations she no longer thinks she can handle, and feelings for Ashton that she shouldn’t have, she’s forced to let go of her last promise to her father and, with it, the only identity that she knows.
Blog Tour: Enlightened by C.C. Brown & Author Interview
Available April 14th 2013
I was so excited when I was asked to review Enlightened by C.C. Brown.  I liked Red Flags (see my review here ) and it was actually the very first review I published on Momma Romance!  And don't forget to scroll all the way down for my Interview with C.C. Brown and a GIVEAWAY!
Story
Enlightened is the continuation of the story of Cara and Jason.  C.C. Brown has truly grown as a writer and it's easy to see in this story.  The flow is easy and the speed is perfect for the story.  And the best part is that all of the questions from Red Flags are answered!!!  And the twists, oh the twists.  There are some really good ones that you don't even see coming!
Heroine
What can I say about Cara.  She's tries to be strong and independent but sometimes you just want to reach out and smack her!  She gets involved in a love square and her inability to stand up for herself and speak what she need so say becomes a big part of this story. She almost becomes a doormat...but then she is saved by Jason!
Hero
In Red Flags Jason and I had a love hate relationships but this time...I am so in love with him.  Now that his secrets are revealed he really shows his sweet side, but don't worry there is still a sexy bad boy in there too.  He's more like the reformed bad boy, just when you think he's changed he pulls out a sneaky little trick!
Steam
So I mentioned that C.C. Brown has grown as a writer and the sex is an area that she has grown exponentially!  There is more sex in this book, but not only is there more, you actually feel it this time.  You can feel the connection between the characters and it really adds to the whole story.
Recommendation
Being that this is a sequel I automatically recommend this book to anyone who's read Red Flags.  But I would recommend this book to any readers who are looking for a good romance novel with a hot, rich hero.
INTERVIEW:
I had a chance to interview C.C. Brown and ask her a few serious questions but also a couple of funny ones too.
Momma Romance-What made you want to start writing, and why romance novels?
C.C. Brown-I've always loved writing. As a kid, I would always write, any and everything. I wanted to out-write the other kids in class. My very first "published" book is actually sitting in the Eagle Ranch Elementary School library. I won a Young Author's contest and my book, What a Day for Josh, is sitting in there to this day.  Romance novels are what I read, so I figured, I should probably write what i enjoy.
MR-Where did the original idea for Red Flags come from?
C.C.-Hahahaha.... from some very dysfunctional couples that I had the displeasure of watching in college. I guess I should be thanking them, though. Their nonsense inspired my book.
MR-When you started writing Red Flags did you have a muse already picked out?
C.C.-NO! I just took everything I saw, mixed in some wealth, and incredible sexiness, and Jason was born. Cara is written as my polar opposite.
MR-You recently decided to change the cover of Red Flags, was there a reason behind it. Have you gotten any blow back because the characters don't match the storyline?
C.C.-No. Actually, most people have told me they like the new cover. It's more intriguing and sexy.
MR- If you could share one random thing about yourself what would it be?
C.C.-I'm double jointed in my fingers and toes.
And now for a bit of "Would you rather?"
MR-Would you rather eat Burgers & Beer or Italian Food & Wine
C.C.-Can I have a burger with wine?
MR-Would you rather be stuck on an island with all your favorite books but no guys or with all your favorite guys but no books?
C.C.-I'd rather be without books... my guys are my husband and son... I wouldn't trade them for anything.
MR-Would you rather wear high heels or sneakers
5 Perfect Stars
I am so in live with this book (yes I said Live...go read the book)!  I was a Colleen Hoover virgin until I read hopeless and I am so excited that I found her!  I actually grabbed this book because it was on sale and I knew that I was going to see Colleen Hoover at the LA Author Event but of course life got in the way and I didn't get to read it before meeting her.  I started reading it while in line with 360 other avid readers on my kindle and everyone around me couldn't say enough good things about it! And then my kindle died.....right when it was getting REALLY good.  Ughh I was pissed.  But I lived it so much that I sat down the next morning with a cup of coffee and didn't move until I was finished!  I just couldn't put it down , the twists and turns are beautifully constructed and the ending....I never saw that coming!  If I have one serious pet peeve about books it's when I can see the ending coming way too far in advance.  I was seriously thrown for a loop but it was such a great, unexpected turn that made the book just that much better.
The Story:
This story was amazing.  It started out like a regular young adult novel but it didn't stay that way for long.  From the beginning there are subtle hints of what's to come, certain phrases and things that Sky says all make sense at the end of the book.  The story totally wasn't what I was expecting which is why it's hard to explain it without completely spoiling the whole thing.  I will just say that it earned a coveted 5 star review from Momma Romance, and that's REALLY hard to do when there isn't any smut!!
The Heroine:
Sky is stubborn, competitive, strong and totally amazing.  She's grown up without the use of any technology, no TV, no Internet, no phones and it's really cute to watch her as she tries to decipher text lingo and ereaders.  She's sweet and caring to those she truly loves but stands her ground.  Even when she's being tormented at school and being called horrible names she just turns it around on the "mean girls" and brushes it off.  I truly enjoyed watching her grow in this story as a person and become a stronger women for it.
“Its real, Six. You can't get mad at a real ending. Some of them are ugly. Its the fake happily ever afters that should piss you off.”
Colleen Hoover, Hopeless
The Hero:
What can be said about Dean Holder except....holy shit!  Thank god he's 18 for 95% of the book because otherwise I would feel like a dirty old cougar.  He's sexy, cocky and knows how to fight for the things he loves.  And the things he says....if any boy would have tried his lines on me I would have literally melted! But as sexy and stubborn as he is he also has an amazing sweet side.  He's hurting from a major loss and isn''t so manly that he can't let it out when things get to much.  And the way he cares for sky is seriously swoonworthy!
“The moment my lips touch yours, it will be your first kiss. Because if you've never felt anything when someone's kissed you, then no one's ever really kissed you. Not the way I plan on kissing you.”
Colleen Hoover, Hopeless
The BFF:
We are lucky enough to have two great BFF's in this book and each one is an important part of the story.  First you have six, the best friend that lives next store.  She's a total bad influence but seems to balance Sky's awkwardness of being home schooled.  She's sweet, caring and freaking funny.  She is out of a big part of the middle of the story but I found myself waiting for her next witty text message.  Then there is Breckin, he's got a fashion sense to die for, quick wit and he's.....Mormon *gasp* Every high school girl should have a friend like Breckin to fend off the Idiots, jocks, bigots and bitches.
The Steam:
Oh the steam in this book!  Hopeless has the hottest, sexiest, most steamy non-sex scene that I have ever read.  No, seriously!  I was panting and holding my breath after reading it.  Everyone pretty much already knows I tend to lean more towards the Erotic, smutty romance novels but the way that Colleen Hoover wrote this novel I didn't miss it at all.  Coupled with the angst it was absolutely the perfect amount of steam for the story!
